SURVIVOR SUMMER CAMP

Camp Details

We will have one bus that will bring children from Kanata, with stops in Nepean and Ottawa. Parents have the option of paying for the bus or finding another suitable transportation option. Some may wish to coordinate carpooling with other parents or choose to drop off their children at Camp Fortune themselves.

All campers must be vaccinated. We will keep everyone posted with Ontario and Quebec’s latest guidelines as they become available.

All camps will continue to run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily with the addition of pre-and post-care from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.

WE’RE TAKING ONLY 28 CAMPERS PER WEEK FOR 2022

All staff and campers (12 and up) must be vaccinated. We will keep everyone posted with Ontario/Quebec new guidelines as they become available.

This fun-filled week will be full of physical and mental challenges, outdoor adventures, cooperative games, theme days, arts and crafts, and plenty of team-building activities that will bring the “SURVIVOR” concept to our campers! Our goal is to show how positive thinking and leadership will help them build future success in their own lives. Survivor Camp is a true adventure!

What to EXpect

Our popular shelter building will have even more twists this year as we have added a decorating challenge. Every day the tribe will have the chance to win an extra item for their tribe’s shelter. The tribe with the most items at the end of the week wins a special award!
Our survivor badges will be back this year! Earn your badge and become our National Kids Camps Survivor Camper of the Year 2022 or receive one of our other amazing badges!

We will learn to build fires and compete between the four tribes to see who can burn through the rope first (just like they do on survivor). Then we will roast marshmallows as we always do!

This year we will be using more hidden idols!

This year we will have more hidden idols and surprises in every corner! We are constantly improving and making changes by adding great new special additions!

2022 is shaping up to be an epic year!!!

Kids will compete against other tribes at Meech Lake with diving masks to help them look for treasures underwater, go through hoops, and other activities at the staff’s instruction. We’re the only camp in town to provide these amazing snorkelling accessories. Every child will be designated their own mask as a COVID-19 precaution.

There will be a “Survivor-Style” Carnival to finish off the week, just like we did in 2021.

We Have All Kinds of Activities to Keep Our Campers Busy

  1. Hiking
  2. Aerial Park – WE ARE HOPING THAT THE AERIAL PARK WILL BE OPEN! HOWEVER, WE CAN’T GUARANTEE THIS DUE TO COVID.
