Camp Details

We will only be accepting 24 CAMPERS per week.

***NEW THIS YEAR*** when you sign up for the camp you can just add the bus and the location. Much easier process.

We will have one bus that will bring children from Kanata, with stops in Nepean and Ottawa. Parents have the option of paying for the bus or finding another suitable transportation option. Some may wish to coordinate carpooling with other parents or choose to drop off their children at Camp Fortune themselves.

All camps will continue to run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily with the addition of pre-and post-care from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.

As this situation is fluid, we ask for your continued patience. You can stay up to date with the latest information using the resources provided.

Camp Fortune

Day Tripping to Meech Lake Fishing, SUP, Freebee & more….

Our 5-day camp will pair campers with primitive life skills and outrageous summer fun! The intention of this camp is to teach our next generation the basic life skills needed to survive, not only in the office, but if they were left alone in the forest, on an island, or any place else – without their phone!

Skills taught/practiced include shelter and fire building,
wilderness medicine, teamwork, orienteering, fishing and food preparation.

While other survival camps give kids exposure to many of the concepts and skills listed above, few of them have the practical knowledge/familiarity to provide significant hands-on experimentation.

Your kids will be participating in:

  1. Fishing
  2. Archery
  3. Swimming at Meech Lake
  4. Fly-Tying
  5. Orienteering
  6. Outdoor Skills
  7. First Aid
  8. Rescue Techniques
  9. Hiking
  10. Fire Building Skills
  11. Aerial Park
  12. Wildlife and nature education
  13. Positive personal goal setting
  14. Team-building games
  15. More paddle boarding

Your child will gain valuable skills that could forever change their lives. We will empower them with the necessary tools to process life’s challenges. Campers have a blast while learning and growing.
