1. What age groups do you accept?
    We offer camps for children ages 6 to 15. Specific age ranges may vary by program, so be sure to check each camp’s details for eligibility.
  2. What are the camp hours?
    Our regular camp hours are from 9am to 4pm. Free pre/post care from 8am-9am and 4pm-5pm.
  3. Do you offer half-day programs?
    Yes! We have half day tennis camp located at the Barrhaven Tennis Club. half-day options.
  4. How do I register my child for camp?
    You can register online through our website or by calling our office at 613-723-1101. Make sure to register early to secure a spot!
  5. Is lunch provided?
    Lunch is not included. Please pack a nut-free, healthy lunch for your child each day. We also recommend sending snacks and a water bottle.
  6. What should my child bring to camp?

Once you register for a camp, you can visit the website, click on “What to Bring to Camp” in the menu bar, select your chosen camp, and find a list of everything you need to bring. You will also receive an email one week prior to camp with a list of everything you need to bring.

  1. How do you handle allergies or medical conditions?
    We take allergies and medical conditions seriously. Please inform us of any allergies or medical needs during the registration process. Our staff is trained to handle common allergies and emergencies. You will also need to download and fill out our medical form:

  1. What happens if the weather is bad?
    In case of inclement weather, we move indoor activities. If conditions are extreme (e.g., lightning or heavy storms), we may delay outdoor activities for safety.
  2. Do you have qualified staff?
    Yes! Our staff consists of certified, experienced counselors who undergo background checks, training in first aid, CPR, and specific camp activity guidelines.
  3. Will my child be able to make new friends?
    Absolutely! We focus on creating a fun, inclusive environment where campers can make new friends while participating in team-building activities and games.
  4. What is the camper-to-staff ratio?
    We maintain a low camper-to-staff ratio, typically 1:8, while our other camps often have a ratio of 1:10. For our Legendary Waves and Wheels Summer Camp, we take only 9 campers, with a ratio of 1:4. While the ratio may vary depending on the specific camp, we pride ourselves on having one of the lowest ratios in the industry to ensure each child receives personal attention and a safe, engaging experience.
  5. Are there any additional fees I should know about?

If you choose to add transportation to Camp Fortune Summer Camps, you can select it during your registration checkout. The bus service is available from Kanata, Nepean, Ottawa, and Orleans.

For our Mountain Bike Kids Camp when they go on their epic day trip to Chelsea. Campers often enjoy purchasing lunch or ice cream during these outings. You can simply provide your child with the amount you’d like them to have for these purchases.

  1. Can my child be in the same group as their friend or sibling?
    We strive to accommodate requests for campers to be with friends or siblings, especially for younger children. The only exception is in our Mountain Bike Camp and Tennis Camps, where we divide campers by age and ability to ensure safety and effective learning.

  1. Can my child leave camp early or be picked up late?
    Please let us know in advance if your child needs to leave early or be picked up late. We will accommodate special requests whenever possible.
  2. Can my child leave camp by himself without being picked up?
