“What to bring to camp”-Legendary Waves and Wheels

Hello Legendary Waves and Wheels Camp Parents:

 

Location: Best Western Plus Gatineau -131 Rue Laurier, Hull, J8X 3W3

*Drop off/pickup at main entrance to Best Western. Enter main entrance and parking lot via rue Laurier

Camp runs 9 am – 4 pm

Free Supervision: 8-9 am and 4-5 pm

 

*** We have a link to our mandatory to be checked off electronically prior to camp****If you do not have these completed your child will not be able to attend camp. Please complete these as soon as you receive them. (These are extremely simple documents that will just require you to check a box, and fill a few simple sentences)***

DROP OFF AND PICKUP:

Drive to the hotel main entrance and parking lot off rue Laurier. We will be waiting for you at our check in table.

Once you arrive in the morning, please find the registration desk where you will sign your child into the camp. For pickup, please bring your ID.

Your child’s bike will be left in safe storage at the hotel for the duration of the week and can be picked up Friday afternoon at checkout.

Please see the list below of what to bring to camp everyday: –

-Nut Free lunch and snacks

➢Bike and Bike helmet

➢ There will be no sharing of food or drinks

➢ We will ask all campers to bring home their wrappers, ziploc bags

etc. for recycling

– Reusable Water Bottles

➢ Campers will be able to refill their bottles at camp

➢Lifejacket

➢ Necessary Clothing/Items

➢ Sunscreen

➢Bathing suit and towel

➢ Hat

➢ Closed toed shoes and beach shoes

➢Feel free to bring an extra bag and extra clothes that can be left at the hotel for the week

 

– Rain Gear

➢ The majority of camp will be outside unless there is inclement weather ➢ Rain jackets, rain boots, change of clothes/socks (extra clothes can be left at camp for the week)

 

Campers should not bring cell phones, electronic toys or similar items to camp. National Kids Camps and the Ottawa Catholic School Board will not be responsible for loss or damage of property belonging to campers.

All children are expected to demonstrate basic respect for the dignity and rights of other campers and staff. National Kids Camps and the Ottawa Catholic School Board reserve the right to suspend or terminate enrolment of any child who displays any behaviour that violates the following guidelines: 1) Zero tolerance of physical and verbal assault, harassment, discrimination and psychological abuse. 2) Respect for the property of others.
